Fragments

Date: 2025-07 Materials: Textile scraps Techniques: Sewing machine, quilt

In Bogotá, we live surrounded by mountains that observe us every day. They are the hills, silent witnesses of our routine. But sometimes, we forget to look at them.

This project was born to remind us of the essential: to reconnect with what surrounds us. Scraps of fabric that were once discarded are transformed into bags that tell stories. Stories of sky and earth, of seams that follow the shape of the mountains, of colors that transition from green to blue like the landscape they inspire.

Each piece is an invitation to observe, to inhabit the world with more calm, more awareness. We design from what already exists, to feel part of this planet again.

Bojagi and quilt technique

The process began by collecting forgotten fabrics, small fragments of stories, then creating square bojagi-like compositions and joining them together using the quilting technique. The stitching became mountain lines, and the colors were a tribute to the sky and the earth. Thus, each bag is more than an object: it's a piece of the landscape we inhabit.

Fragments is for people who value local, sustainable, and authentic items. Each bag is a reminder that design can be responsible. Here, every stitch tells a story: that of the territory, of care, of second use.

Fragments is not just a bag, it's a different way of looking.
